Our Parish

On behalf of the parish family of the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph, I welcome you. The Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph was established in 1851 by the late Archbishop of New York, John Hughes. The parish is located in the beautiful Prospect Heights section of Brooklyn.

The Co-Cathedral is open for worship and to visitors seven days a week. We are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, we are open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. For our Mass schedule, please click here.

Initially founded to serve the vast immigrant population fleeing the Irish famine from 1846-1852, St. Joseph's continues to meet the needs of immigrants from places as far away as Manhattan and Queens.
